Safeguarding notice: ORB Residential is not an emergency service and does not replace safeguarding procedures. If a child, young person, adult or any other person is at immediate risk of harm, follow your organisation’s safeguarding policy, contact the appropriate emergency services and escalate to the relevant professionals immediately.

We aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible. Response times may vary during early access, testing or pilot phases.
App support
If you are using ORB Residential through an app, please include the following when contacting support:
- your name and email address;
- your role and organisation, if relevant;
- device type, such as iPhone, iPad or Mac;
- app version, if known;
- a short description of the issue;
- screenshots only if they do not contain child, staff or provider-identifiable information.
Demo requests
To request a demo of ORB Residential or discuss IndiCare Intelligence, email us with your name, role, organisation and what you would like to explore.
Please do not include child names, live incidents, confidential provider records or identifiable safeguarding information in your message.
Using ORB Residential safely
ORB Residential is designed to support adults with recording, reflection, safeguarding thinking, professional wording, oversight and evidence preparation. It should always be used with adult review and professional judgement.
Do not input identifiable child information
Unless your organisation has approved use in writing and a suitable data processing agreement is in place, you must not input identifiable information about children, young people, families, staff members or providers.
Do not input:
- child or young person names;
- dates of birth, addresses, school names or contact details;
- social worker names, family names or staff names where identification is possible;
- NHS numbers, court references, police references or care record IDs;
- photographs, videos or voice recordings identifying children or adults;
- live safeguarding concerns requiring immediate action;
- highly specific incident details that could identify a child, home or provider;
- confidential documents or records you are not authorised to use.
Use anonymised wording wherever possible, such as “the young person”, “YP”, “staff member”, “the home”, “placing authority” or “the professional”.
Report a privacy concern
If you believe identifiable child information, confidential provider information or sensitive personal data has been entered into the service in error, contact us promptly.

Report misuse
Contact us if you believe the service is being used to create harmful, discriminatory, unsafe, misleading, abusive or inappropriate content.
We may restrict or suspend access where misuse, data risk, safeguarding risk or breach of terms is identified.
What ORB Residential can and cannot do
ORB can support:
- reflective recording;
- incident wording;
- professional tone and structure;
- child-centred language;
- manager review prompts;
- Reg 44 and Reg 45 preparation;
- Ofsted-readiness thinking;
- questions that help adults think before they write.
ORB cannot replace:
- safeguarding procedures;
- professional judgement;
- management oversight;
- provider policy;
- legal advice;
- clinical advice;
- social work decision-making;
- emergency services;
- final adult review and approval.
